About Reef SIGNALS

Reef SIGNALS is a visual reference for underwater communication.

It brings common scuba diving hand signals into one clear, easy-to-use library, covering everything from basic communication and safety to gas, direction, teamwork, and marine life.

Divers Reef created Reef SIGNALS because underwater communication is one of the most important parts of diving, yet signals are often learned at different times, from different instructors, agencies, teams, and dive experiences. We wanted one place where divers can quickly learn a signal, refresh their memory, or translate a simple message into the signs they would use underwater.

Signals can vary between agencies, regions, and dive teams, so always agree on communication with your buddy or team before the dive.

About Divers Reef

A little closer to the sea.

Divers Reef is home for anyone who loves being underwater, and for anyone still wondering what it feels like.

It started on Instagram, as a way to share what the sea keeps showing me: light falling through the blue, the quiet at depth, the moment a turtle decides you’re allowed to stay. Recreational dives and technical ones, first breaths and five hundredth dives. Every one of them counts.

Over time it grew into more than pictures. Reef Talks became short episodes about the things divers actually ask, and the tools followed: SIGNALS, with DMaps and TwoTwenty on the way. All of it is free, made for diving and the community around it.

I’m Mo Anees. I live somewhere between business and the sea: a dive professional and technical diver, based in Dahab for now. I do this for one simple reason. I love diving, and I’d love to help you love it too.
